Joaquin Miller Real Estate

This District includes the area East of Highway 13 between Joaquin Miller road and Redwood road. Named after the great poet Joaquin Miller, this area was replenished with 70,000 trees that he planted to revitalize the landscape which had been decimated by the logging that built San Francisco during the Gold Rush. The Woodminster Amphitheater and Holy Names University are the two dominant landmarks of this area. The real estate in Joaquin Miller consists mostly of Mid-Century homes..with many Ranch style and other styles from the 50's. The area is very wooded and quiet like Montclair, however the streets are not as narrow and it is closer to shopping and the freeway.

Joaquin Miller Park is known for it's amazing walking and biking trails..many having Bay Views. Many avid hikers feel that the trails rival those in Marin County which are so famous. The names of some of the trails located in Joaquin Miller Park include Cinderella, Sunset, Bay Views and Big Trees..named after the massive Redwood trees found there. There is also a small softball field, play structure, beautiful water fountains and amazing views that create a very peaceful and serene feeling.

If you are not from Oakland, you may be pleasantly surprised when you visit one of our Parks such as Joaquin Miller.
